Mr Deluxe, born Lucky Baloyi in Pretoria, South Africa, is a seasoned DJ and music producer whose career spans more than 18 years within the underground house music scene. Since beginning his journey in the early 2000s, he has become a respected figure in the club circuit, known for delivering immersive DJ sets that blend deep musicality with powerful dance-floor energy.

With a passion rooted in both digital and vinyl DJ culture, Mr Deluxe has cultivated a sound that reflects the timeless essence of underground house music. His sets are carefully curated journeys designed to elevate listeners and transport audiences into a state of pure musical euphoria.

Drawing influence from the darker edges of deep house, his style merges deep house grooves, dub elements, and pulsating minimal techno, creating an atmosphere that is hypnotic, emotive, and rhythmically captivating.

In 2014, Mr Deluxe joined Do It Now Recordings, where he began releasing a series of notable compilation projects while maintaining a close affiliation with DeepStitched Records. Through this collaboration, he released the acclaimed compilation series “Tailored for the Soul”, including Tailored for the Soul Vol. I (2015), Tailored for the Soul Vol. II (2017), and Tailored for the Soul – Selected by Mr Deluxe (2021).

These projects helped solidify his reputation among deep and soulful house enthusiasts and further established his presence within the international underground house community.

Over the years, Mr Deluxe has also released music through additional respected labels such as Round Robin Recordings, expanding his catalogue and reaching new audiences across global electronic music platforms.
